Anyone Going to Toronto on Sunday???

Need Ride May. 4th, 2007 @ 03:24 pm
I'm trying to visit Blair on the long weekend in may (19-21). If anyone is going to Toronto or Kingston on that weekend (or comming back at the end of that weekend) (Or knows anyone going that way) I would be interested in a ride & would contribute gas money. (She is in a small town just off of the 401, but could arrange to meet me in a larger center, such as kingston, if that was best).

514-931-6350 (I don't check lj often)

Hi
It's been a long time since my last post. I'm not on the internet too often, and it seems that everytime I log onto lj I find that there are shows and invitations that I would have liked to have gone to, but have already passed.

I still haven't had the priviledge of taking care of jamie's cat. I think they are feeling settled at andrea's and she is reluctant to separate them and move them again (she is also very busy). Since I don't have that much time at home, it's probably just as well, since they are used to having so many other beings around.
I do miss having animals around though... has anyone taken part in fostering cats in Montreal? I might look into that soon.

We have convinced our landlord to let us put a composter in the back! Weeeeee. Turning things into dirt is fun!

Other than that I've been busy with school, working a little (pretending I know a lot about computers), and practicing with the band... We have a show in Old Montreal on the 8th of February, at Pub St. Paul, and John's friend from Goderich has agreed to drum with us, so we are looking forward to it.
***
Also, it's John's b-day on Feb. 1st. We are going to get dinner at the sushi place on Greene. If any of you would like to come for sushi and to help john celebrate his 28th, please do... we have to go early, because we have a rehersal afterwards... we'll be there at 6.
***
Hope everyone is well.

Going to see Radiohead tonight.

Feeling sad. Miss friends.

Recieve picture of Blairs daughter, Sequoia, after it went on an adventure through the mail as a result of a wrong postal code. She is two days old in it. She is very beautiful. Incredibly beautiful.

Dreamed of Tony last night.

Woke up last night to the soothing sounds of walkley street during the summer; someone being arrested and a scene quite remenicient of "cops" being played out on the other side of our window. Let us rejoice, for summer is here.

The show was lots of fun. Good ice breaker for showing work. A few days before I had a bit of a panic attack, but I got over it when I realized that some people would show and that they were mostly friends. Everyone there was really supportive and encouraging and I gained great insights from the experience. I may post pics. soon.

For the first time a teacher has handed back an essay and told me that the style was good; stream of consciousness, poetic, and circular logic. Hmm... I'm used to getting comments like BAD STRUCTURE.

John and I have started a ritual of Tuesdays on the mountain. There is a marsh with a tree that hangs over it. There I painted, he wrote. When he was off taking pictures a chickadee came up to me. I fed it bread from my palm. It left and an hour later returned with another ten or so. Next time we will pack more bread.

We started a garden in the back yard. It's normally full of shit and garbage. We cleaned it up, dug out the crab grass along the fence, planted everything sprouting from our kitchen.

The maintenance guy mentioned that the super said "No gardens this year." But also, he didn't see why it was a problem, and that if the super minded it would be between us and him. (Last year our neighbor planted pumpkins and corn in front of the building, and they weren't too happy about it.) John told me today that the super said it was fine, and that we could even plant in front, but only if it was flowers (there is a surviving onion from last year that I am very entertained by... and hey, onions have flowers, right?).

Swimming at the pool in NDG. Shiatsu with Matt. Gardening, without someone telling me not to. Tuesdays on the mountain. Monday's with Irena and the gang. John's music....

and tonight, dinner with friends, frisbee in the park.

Sounds like a good summer.
